Since moving into our new home a few weeks ago, I knew the master bedroom was at the top of my list to finish. Not only because I wanted to create a relaxing space for James and I, but because the master bedroom happens to be immediately off the kitchen and is very visible to the rest of the house.
When I was given the chance to partner with Annie Selke, I knew it was exactly what I was envisioning for our master. Just flip through a few pages of their gorgeous fall catalog and it’s clear that Annie Selke is passionate about style, comfort and quality. I was seriously swooning over every single page. (That all white bedding layout on page 24, I’ll take two of everything please.)
I went back and forth for days trying to decide between a classic duvet or one of their beautiful Matelassé coverlets. Ultimately I chose the cotton Seychelles Shale Quilt with tone-on-tone topstitching. The weight and texture are perfect. James has always preferred quilts, but I’ll be honest, I’ve never cared for the way they look. That is, until now. The pictures just don’t do it justice! Annie Selke excels at bringing happy home and I was thrilled to find bedding that he and I both love.
To play up the other grey tones in our bedroom and to add another layer of texture to our bed, I paired the Seychelles quilt with this Gradation Ticking Woven Cotton Throw. It features variegated stripes in shades ranging from cream to taupe and gunmetal. I find myself taking it with me room to room to snuggle up under.
There were so many other gorgeous and luxurious items in the catalog- bath robes, scarves, etc. These Linnea’s Lights candles come in the most adorable packaging (complete with a set of matches tucked inside the lid) and are made with natural soy wax and pure essences. They would make the best Christmas gifts for teachers or housewarming gifts for friends.
I laughed as I was trying to take pictures for this post because Emme decided to make herself at home on my new bedding mid-shoot. Even she can spot luxury and quality! Browse through the Annie Selke portfolios and you will see a few other furry friends in their photos as well.
