Pumpkin Dip is a deliciously creamy dessert that tastes like pumpkin pie without the crust! This Pumpkin Dip recipe is perfect served with cookies or fruit.
The weather is finally starting to drop in Texas which means it is time to bring out all the pumpkin desserts! I may not be a big fan of pumpkin spice lattes (I much prefer chai tea or mulled cider) but I do love a good pumpkin dessert.
This pumpkin dip is a new favorite… I mean who doesn’t love a recipe that starts with a brick of cream cheese?? More of my favorite pumpkin desserts:
Pumpkin Dip Ingredients
This pumpkin pie dip recipe only needs a handful of ingredients. Most of the items I keep on hand, and I always stock a few cans of pumpkin puree in my pantry during the fall!
- Cream Cheese
- Pumpkin Puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- Powdered Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon
- Pumpkin Pie Spice
How to Make Pumpkin Dip
This pumpkin dip recipe comes together in minutes and is a great make-ahead dessert or appetizer for fall get togethers. Mix all of the ingredients together and then let it chill in the refrigerator until you’re ready.
- Beat cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add pumpkin and brown sugar.
- Gradually add powdered sugar.
- Add spices and beat until creamy.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Tips to Make Pumpkin Pie Dip
Make sure you are using pumpkin puree and NOT pumpkin pie filling. I don’t typically sift my powdered sugar before adding, but make sure it’s fresh and break up any clumps (same with the brown sugar) as needed before mixing.
I like to make my own pumpkin pie spice but you can use the store-bought version as well.
What to Serve with Pumpkin Dip
I love to serve this pumpkin pie dip with different cookies and fruits. This dip is a perfect addition to a dessert or charcuterie board. Add the dip to the center of the board and fill in the rest of the space with:
- Cookies – graham crackers, gingersnaps, shortbread cookies
- Apples – pears would also be yummy
- Nuts – pecans or walnuts would be a yummy addition
- Pretzels – rods or twists, we also like the pretzel thins
- Candy – a fun addition to a dessert board
